Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
Within Humanities and Social Sciences, students have the opportunity to learn about a range of social factors such as history, geography, politics, economics, civics and citizenship. Students with a key to exploring the interrelationship between themselves, others and the world we live in.
Humanities and Social Sciences provides students with the opportunity to learn about the decisions of the past and make predictions about the future through a study on both History and Geography.
Humanities and Social Sciences is compulsory from year 8 through to Year 10 and is an elective subject for Stage 1 and Stage 2 students.
From Stage 1 onwards, HASS subjects are broken down into separate fields of study to enable students to have a choice in the type of History, Social Science or Geography they would like to study. The areas of study that students can select include Ancient and Modern History, Business Innovation, Tourism and People vs Nature
Participation in the University of Adelaide’s Shark Tank program in 2019 and 2020.
