English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) Program

At Craigmore High School, we are committed to providing comprehensive support for our students through the English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) Program. Our EALD funding enables us to offer a variety of resources, including an EALD Mentor, dedicated EALD Classroom School Services Officers (SSOs), and specialised EALD Teachers.

Program Features

Students benefit from personalised academic and emotional support in a purpose-built intervention space. Unique opportunities such as Emotional Regulation through Animal Therapy are also available.

Community Engagement

To foster meaningful engagement with our local community and families, we have a Community Liaison Officer on-site once a week. Additionally, we have partnered with Mentoring, Coaching, and Counselling, as well as Football SA, to deliver several engagement programs specifically designed for African youth.

Youth Leadership

Each year, we collaborate with the Australian Refugee Association to run the Youth Ambassador Program, empowering students to become leaders within their communities.
