Health & PE

In Health and Physical Education, students are encouraged to learn through movement, stay active, and participate in a wide variety of activities and sports. The health component includes learning about mental health and wellbeing, relationships and sexual health, and the impacts of drugs and alcohol.

Curriculum Overview

Health and Physical Education is compulsory for the full year in years 7 and 8 and one semester in years 9 and 10. In year 9 and year 10, students can choose to study their compulsory Health and Physical Education in either a mixed or a girls’ class.

Elective Options

Students in year 9 and year 10 can also choose from a range of elective subjects, including:

  • Sports Academy
  • Specialist Soccer
  • Soccer Academy

Senior Years

In the senior years, stage 1 and stage 2 students can elect to study:

  • Fitness
  • Sport Studies
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Outdoor Education
  • Physical Education

These options provide students with the opportunity to pursue their interests and develop skills in various areas of health and physical education.
